LIMAHSOON's manufacturing facility is home to some high end
machinery capable of precision control in the production of
rubberwood products.
Integrated Operation
LIMAHSOON is an integrated laminated board manufacturer, covering
all aspects of the manufacturing of laminated boards.
This ensures that LIMAHSOON maintains full control
of the supply and quality of raw materials, as well as the quality
of the manufacturing processes and finished products.
Sawmilling
Starting from the supply of rubberwood, LIMAHSOON has its own in-house
sawmilling operation. This enables LIMAHSOON to select the highest
quality rubberwood logs before they are sawn to be used for laminated
boards.
Pressure Treatment
LIMAHSOON has its own in-house pressure treatment facilities
to preserve the wood and to prevent the attack by fungus and wood pests.
Kiln Drying
To condition the timber so that it does not warp or crack
over time, LIMAHSOON has in-house kiln-drying facilities. Here, pressure
treated timber is dried in kiln-drying chambers to obtain a consistent
8% - 12% moisture content, depending on customer's specifications.
Cutting and Dressing Timber
Once the sawn timber is pressure-treated and kiln-dried,
it go through a process of cross-cutting, double-sided planing
and wood ripping before being cut into smaller fixed-size
strips of timber.
Grading and Finger Jointing
To ensure consistent high quality, these timber strips are
then graded before going through the finger-jointing process.
Using some of the most sophisticated and accurate joining
machines, finger-joints are cut on the timber strips before
they are locked into place and laminated to form large panel
boards.
Finishing
The completed laminated board is then cut to size and sanded
to a smooth and high quality finish.
